Leyland brings a splash of colour to the National Painting and Decorating Show
Leyland maintained its track record of bringing a dose of high intensity action to the National Painting and Decorating Show with a brace of thrilling competitions at the 2010 event held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
The ‘Speed Reaction’ and ‘Scalextric’ challenges enticed visitors to Leyland’s eye-catching stand throughout the two-day event and gave four people the chance to claim a pair of tickets to a British Touring Car Championship race in 2011, as well as a watch and a Leyland trophy.
Rory Lerman from Bingley and Tom Dawson from Walsall proved to have the precision and speed to punch out the most lights on the ‘Speed Reaction’ wall within the allotted 60-second slot, while Clitheroe’s Paul Johnson and George Bishop from Farringdon lapped up the crowd’s adulation after emerging triumphant from the stiff competition that the ‘Scalextric’ challenge conjured up.
Leyland’s stand also enjoyed visits from drivers from Leyland-sponsored BTCC team Airwaves BMW, Steven Kane and Mat Jackson, who were on hand to give visitors a glimpse into what life is like in the fast lane.
Leyland Brand Manager Nicki Hickman commented: 'This year’s National Painting and Decorating Show was a huge success for Leyland and our stand attracted more visitors than ever before. Our loyal customers are the first to get involved in competitions so it was little wonder that the stand was snowed under with visitors over the two days!'
