Leyland takes over the Airwaves!

Leyland brought a dose of colour to the national airwaves recently after teaming up with builders’ merchants Selco to run a high-octane competition that left listeners in a spin.

Continuing its hugely successfully affiliation with motorsport, Leyland gave listeners of the ‘Breakfast Brainbuster Sports Quiz’ on popular radio station talkSPORT the chance to win a money can’t buy VIP weekend to round seven of the Dunlop British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone on the 21st and 22nd August.

The competition proved to be a flying success and attracted a huge number of entries. The prize, which was won by Paul Smith from Wishaw in Lanarkshire, includes two full days of hospitality with the Leyland-sponsored Airwaves BMW team at Silverstone, including a tour of the garages and a grid walk, as well as the opportunity to get up close and personal with the drivers and support crew.

As if all of that wasn’t enough, they’ll also have the opportunity to see first hand Leyland’s colourful additions to the BTCC, in the shape of the Leyland Lovelies and Tintop, Leyland’s eccentric new racing mascot!

Leyland brand manager Nicki Hickman said: “Our sponsorship of Airwaves BMW over the past 12 months has proved incredibly successful and we are delighted to be able to give tradespeople the opportunity to experience what life in the fast lane is really like!”
